INT. TOM'S TRUCK - SUNRISE
Parked with other vehicles in the lot of the Yucca Springs Motel. We HEAR TOM'S BOOTS ON PAVEMENT before he arrives, opens driver's door, puts hat on passenger seat and suitcase in well below it, gets in driver's seat, closes door, starts engine, drives out of frame.
INT. MOTEL ROOM - SUNSET
Basic economy room lit by light through crack in curtains above desk. Tom enters from hallway, closes door, puts hat on rack, suitcase on bed, opens curtains to window view to the FEW PEOPLE in the hotel's pool and monsoon clouds obscuring the Sandia Mountains beyond the Albuquerque skyline. He sits in chair, removes boots, unbuttons shirt on his way to bathroom, leaves view when he enters.
